We are a small but reasonably active club formed in 2012 and comprise of mainly ageing mature cavers. Almost all of our caving activities are centered in the Yorkshire Dales. The club has been revived from the original Pegasus Mountaineering Club of the 1970’s/1980’sWe are full members of the BCA and CNCC, and our meets are organised to suit all levels, with additional traing trips for our less experieced cavers. Please check out the rest of our site by clicking the links above.
The club was formed by Andy and Geoff, who were active cavers throughout the late 1970’s and 1980’s with Pegasus Mountaineering and Caving Club, but the club ceased when members moved away with work commitments. Over the last 25 years or so, both Andy and Geoff had made frequent walking and climbing trips, and by chance, a diverted descent from Great Whernside down to the entrance of Providence Pot, and a sneaky look down the entrance shaft convinced us that potholing could still be an attractive proposition despite our advancing years. A rapid purchase of gear took place, and through an internet social media site, contact was made with Martin, another original member, keen to explore the underground again, and so “ Th’Owd Skool Caving Club “ was formed.
Events and aims
We are a friendly active club and organise meets on a reasonable amount of weekends, with occasional mid week meets for those already retired. The club aims to promote the sport / science of caving and educate new members in good caving and potholing practices, whilst at the same time maintain a friendly and active club.

So the heading should accept multi line text and be the same width as this body text, but it would push the side-line down if the heading overlaps into > 1 line. The side line is as tall as this block of text.
